Notes:

1:

Renumbered by the Black River & Western to 1854 during 2003.

2:

Sold by the Everett Railroad to the Black River & Western in December of 2002. The locomotive left Everett rails on 12/30/2002 and was stencilled for the Belvidere-Delaware River Railroad (BDRV).

3:

Purchased by the Everett from Keystone Railroad Preservation in 1997.

4:

Acquired by Keystone Railroad Preservation from Conrail. Stored on the Horseshoe Curve Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society siding at East Freedom, PA.

5:

Retired by Conrail in 1991 and assigned to their Conrail Leasing subsidiary. Was slated to wear Conrail Leasing #200, but was never relettered.

6:

Rebuilt by Illinois Central Gulf's Paducah, KY shops as GP8 #5428. Dynamic brakes were removed during rebuilding and modern EMD-style classification lights were installed below the numberboards.

7:

Renumbered to PRR 5874 from PRR 8574 in 1966 or 1967 in preparation for the Penn Central merger. Assigned to Northumberland in the late 1960s, the 8574 is believed to be one of the few PRR GP7s to wear the dual-keystone scheme with its original 85xx-series number. At some point, the locomotive was equipped with a large bright-yellow plow on her front-end.

8:

Built for the Pennsylvania Railroad in September of 1953 on order number 5292. Assigned to the Pittsburgh Region, the 8574 carried the standard PRR trainphone equipment and often saw service on Cresson-area branchlines.
